I have found the BEST source of product information is right here on Amazon. I have been using these reviews for 25+ years, and have found their advice worth looking at. They are accurate about 90% of the time, with a slight bias towards Japanese products.
You can get the consumer reportselectronics buyers guide that does give mp3 player ratings. You can get it via torrent file if you can't find a copy to buy.The electronics buyers guide does not give ratings for dvd recorders. This buying guide is worth getting. It will help you make good buying choices.Still ckeck out user reviews for whatever it is your looking to buy.To the review no mp3 players.
Worth spending time and money on. We were looking for a new television and the guide was very helpful in our choice.
I almost always purchase the CR Recommended items based upon their testing and research. This guide covers everything from every day items, electronics, appliances, vehicles and computers. This guide is an invaluable resource, if you're trying to figure out what is the best value for your money. Also included are reliability data and, in some cases, fair market cost of items. I have always referred to Consumer Reports for the purchase of any large ticket items. Although not all inclusive, this guide gives buying advice on what is necessary and not, in considering an item to purchase.
Of course, once you have it, you start looking at all the other appliances/vehicles/gadgets you've been thinking about buying which leads to my only gripe - no MP3 player ratings in this edition. This is an invaluable reference book - I wouldn't buy my new washer/dryer without first consulting the newest Buying Guide. You can't beat the price for the information and it's all laid out in charts for easy, one-stop, unbiased comparison that you can carry with you to the store.
